“Mission Possible”: An Invitation
The Sacred Monastery of St. Iakovos “New Studion,” together with St. George Greek Orthodox Church of Oklahoma City, invite you to a speaking event about missionary joy at 4 pm Saturday, March 25, 2023. Hieromonk Madai, a Kurdish graduate student of Athens University (Greece) and former Yezidi (sun worshipper), will talk about his conversion to Christ, the conversion of Kurds to Christianity, missionary work among the Kurds and other Iranian peoples, translations of liturgical and theological texts into Kurdish dialects, and miracles performed by the Grace of the Lord in the hearts of his compatriots, sharing photographs from his recent trip to Georgia and Kurdistan.
After the meeting, at 6 pm, join us for Vespers, with part of the Service celebrated in Kurdish.
